On December 1, 2011, the Region II Planning and Policy Council hosted a forum for state legislatures for the purpose of providing them with information on the needs of people with mental illness in Tennessee. Shirley Shea, Executive Director of Disability Law & Advocacy Center of Tennessee (DLAC), commented, "This is a very powerful message about mental illness."

Though Region II focuses on the Knox County area, most of the information applies across the state. To see the informative PowerPoint, click here.
